Audio Lineaire is a new brand name which has been in the news. With high efficiency (98db/2,83v/m) the Y21 floorstander is equipped with a bass-midrange Supravox driver which has been modified and upgraded according to strict schedule of conditions. This drive unit is stand mounted in a double bass reflex and coupled with a horn tweeter.Paper which is here the material used yields its quality of lightness and damping that are to be found in the listening of the Y21.The drop-shaped enclosure ensures a natural damping of the wave feedback from the bass midrange drive unit.The compound structure of the panels takes also part in the uncoloured sonic character of the cabinet, a trait which always ensures naturalness. Hello from Turkey

After my visit to Extreme-Audio in Istanbul I was amused and after one month I’m not able to forget the musical experience I had. I realy want to congraluate you for such a piece of art. Even they didn’t know the technical properties of the speaker, they connected it to a 18watt KT88 single ended design amplifier made by "Unison Research" and the source was a Chineese Cd player "Vincent".I own a 300BXLS SET amplifier which can give 15watts per channel and the manufacturer ("AYON" formerly Vaic) recommends speakers upto 96dB sensitivity.I am planning to buy the speaker,I am waiting for your reply....thank you and best regards.

Yesterday and today I listened to the Audio Lineaire speakers, so far the range consists of 2 models :
The Y13 (sensitivity 95db)
We received a pair of pre  mass production, the nose cone was not yet turned for it but we were overcome with emotions all the same.
we really got a buzz out of these speakers.This  is the first time I've listened to speakers that price endowed with such details and transparency. Extension in the bass field might be limited but remains impressive for a drive unit of 13cm (for hours some of us kept convinced that it was a 16cm). I'm not telling you that all products considered it would be the speakers of my life but for €2000 it has pacified everybody or almost.

And I stress on the "2" for the first one has been upgraded since the review printed in "la nouvelle revue du son", now it is equipped with a tweeter from Fostex, this latter is adjusted and corrected by the team of Audio Lineaire, the tweeter is made in Japan (it had been a long time, hadn't it ?)

Sensistivity is 98db, I didn't know what 35W was like, at first I thought it was 350W, well it would have been with 88db.
We took the CD's out of their boxes and then we had a real buzz and were left dumbfounded.Everything is there, it's breathing, the piano is not 2000m2 large, it has a natural character like few speakers can deliver all brands and products considered (if you know any of this kind I want to listen right now). It's very fast, it just appears real when you close your eyes : it was the first time it happened to me.
I wil tell you more tomorrow if you wish...

Audio lineaire is a French maker! and has a whole range of high efficient speakers. A real gorgeous listening when driven by 300B Audio Note, hard put for finding any flaws in the prestige series, all kind of music flows with unrivalled ease. I'm the owner of Y21's at home, after many wanderings I've found my two ways...

J'ai eu la chance d'entendre les Y21.1 chez Cogedis à Bordeaux il y a deux ans et demi ou trois. Il se trouve que c'est le maître des lieux qui avait choisi ces magnifiques enceintes pour essayer en avant-première les premiers lecteurs et amplis Mimetism pas encore commercialisés à l'époque de par le fait qu"elles ne pardonnent rien aux électroniques qui leurs sont associées ainsi que par leur multples et grandes qualités bien évidemment. J'ai été frappé par la présence et la matérialité des voix. Yves Montand dans son live à l'Olympia de 1981 était dans l'auditorium. La précision de chacune de ses articulations et l'étendue de la bande passante m'ont laissé un souvenir impérissable. J'ai bien entendu d'autres morceaux que celui-là qui étaient instruimentaux et fort joliment rendus mais c'est vraiment ce qui m'a le plus plû. Un spectre sonorevisité de long en large (bande!  ), une dynamique restituant de la vie alliés à une précision sans froideur rendant hommage aux meilleures galettes irisées.
